The announcement confirms that competitive action will resume on Saturday, 17 January 2026, with a full slate of league fixtures across men’s and women’s divisions and will run through to the final matchday and season presentations on Sunday, 1 March 2026 at Parklands Sports Club.

The updated KHU schedule also includes participation in the 2025 Africa Cup for Club Champions set for 24 - 31 January in Harare, Zimbabwe, which offers top Kenyan teams a chance to compete on the African stage.

Following the season’s conclusion, the player transfer and team registration window for the 2026 campaign will open from 2 to 15 March.

The first weekend after the break features matches across Premier League Men (PLM), Senior League Men (SLM), National League Men (NLM), and Senior League Women (SLW).

In the Men’s Premier League, Butali Warriors lead the charge, continuing to set the pace at the summit. USIU-A remain within touching distance, three points behind the league leaders with four matches left, keeping the title race open.

In the Women’s Premier League, Lakers Hockey Club have established themselves at the top with 33 points, with Blazers maintaining close pursuit with 29 points and five games left to play.

In the Men’s Super League, the battle for promotion is intensifying, with Kisumu Youngsters, Greensharks, and Parkroad Tigers setting the pace in what is emerging as one of the season’s tightest contests.

The Women’s Super League has been marked by the dominance of UON Ladies, with Wolverines' continued pressure at second place, and Lakers B, who are placed third with seven points behind the league leaders, with six matches left to play.

Across the men’s National Leagues, regional narratives continue to unfold simultaneously. Rift Pirates have so far impressed with a strong run in the Central region, MSC are demonstrating consistency in the East, while Kitale have maintained their grip at the top in the Western zone.
